Short facts
Our fields of work
The initial situation
The quiz “Who wants to be a millionaire” was previously only known as a TV show. To reward loyal fans of the show, card games, board games or other little things are conceivable.
However, physical products always have their limitations. Playing on the go can be difficult, progress is often lost and sometimes individual parts of the game are lost. In addition, players who have played the game often enough memorize the answers and the original fun is lost.
So how can it be ensured that the user has the feeling of sitting in the coveted chair and being able to answer all the original questions in the program under the same conditions?
The solution
As a card or board game was not enough for the ongoing mobile fun, we developed an application that replicates the TV series. To increase user-friendliness, we decided to develop both an app for Android and iOS smartphones as well as a web application.
With the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Training Camp” app, we were able to get very close to the experience by using real questions, rules and all the jokers from the TV show.
Just like in the real show, you first have to qualify by completing a sorting task and then test your knowledge by answering 15 tricky questions, each with 4 possible answers. A timer ensures that the experience is even more exciting.
In addition, users have the option to customize their gameplay, be it to access celebrity and themed specials or to play through the large archive of questions from TV shows of recent years. The Digital Messaging Suite also enables direct interaction with the user. This has been achieved through the suite’s push notification service. On request, the user is now automatically informed by notifications when new questions are available.
Result
The decision to develop a cross-platform application enabled us to reach more users, regardless of where they are located. Different game modes, such as shuffle or risk mode, ensure that all types of players can enjoy the game and expand their knowledge in a fun way. Users can now decide whether they want to train their knowledge in a specific category or hit the ground running.
By digitizing one of the most popular quiz game shows, the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Training Camp” application has won over fans of all ages. The application has millions of users every day, well over 100,000 registered customers and more than 60,000 customer reviews.
With the latest questions, the archive and the question specials, users have a constantly updated platform at their disposal that guarantees long-term fun! Through constant updates and cross-platform functionality, which makes the game playable on almost any device, we have been able to maintain a large player base.
